Is it really free?
Yes. You are in full control: Handler never limits what you can do, and every way of running it is set up for you. Pick any of these, and switch whenever you like:
- Built in. Handler installs a speech model and runs it on your computer. Free forever.
- Your own local setup. LM Studio, Ollama or another model you run on your computer; Handler finds it for you. Free.
- What you already pay for. Claude Code, Codex with your ChatGPT plan, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot or OpenCode, or an API key from OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Groq, Mistral or any other provider.
- JUC, in one click. Sign in with your email and we run it for you. Free through 2026*; see pricing for 2027 on.
Do you collect my data?
No telemetry: Handler sends no usage data or analytics. It contacts us only to check for updates, to download parts you choose to install, and when you use JUC to run your requests. When you do, we never store what you sent; we keep only a usage record per request (time, model, size and cost). Your recordings and text stay on your computer. No ads, and we never sell data. Planned for paid plans: if you choose to share your usage data with us, you get 10% off; it stays off unless you turn it on. Privacy policy
How do accounts work?
You only need one to let JUC run your requests. It is just your email address: you sign in with a link we email you, with no password. We keep your email, when you signed in, the access keys for your devices, and the usage records above. Email support@julianutility.com to delete it.
Will the source be available?
Not during the alpha. We plan to make it available after.
